P.O.W.E.R. Groups

P.O.W.E.R Groups

What are Power Groups?
1. Groups of Christians (and interested non-christians) who desire to edify each other to grow in Christ
2. This spiritual encouragement takes place through Prayer, Openess, Word, Encouragement, and Responsibility (P.O.W.E.R.) in weekly meetings.

Why have P.O.W.E.R. Groups?
1. To understand the biblical principles of multiplication (II Timothy 2:2)
2. To involve growing believers in a biblical format for discipling
3. To enhance skills of spiritual leadership
4. To see the power of God’s Word as it is assimilated in life.

Who is in a P.O.W.E.R. Group?
Every CI Clemson member will partner with a P.O.W.E.R. Group Leader. This will be his/her group for the duration of the semester.

When do P.O.W.E.R. Groups meet?
1. The groups will all meet on Wednesday nights during the Cross Impact Meeting
2. The groups will meet separately on a bi-weekly basis to work through the Galatians 5 study. We have groups that meet at many different times, contact us to get plugged into one.

What are the primary responsibilities of a P.O.W.E.R. Group member?
The discipleship process requires a serious commitment; therefore, members must be faithful to their spiritual responsibilities.
1. Preparing weekly for the group meeting by studying the lesson and openly testifying to God’s work.
2. Support and love those in their P.O.W.E.R. Group
